Windows Phone App?

k. we will definitely get this started once we finish our new apps for ios/android. they are going to be AMAZING! :D
So what to believe? The 10% threshold is a crazy idea. You should be looking at absolute numbers of users. Windows phone has bigger markets in different parts of the world and the whole market share % reporting is really just a guess as no one can exactly track if people own more than one platform or if they have migrated from a previous platform. Just want you to know that from a marketing strategy that you should cover all bases and be the first to port to WP8. Imagine all the users that currently use the competition sites for live chess on WP8.
Agreed! New member here and I went to look for an app in WP8 store and none Please please please don't wait for a threshold...market growth shows continuous momentum for this platform anyway. I will beta and pay for app when it comes out. I may eventually pay for diamond here for learning purposes, so just push that over to the WP8 fund

Ok, ok! We're getting close! Let me just get our new Android and iOS done and then we can focus on it! We are a tiny team, not a big one like Google or Facebook ;)

That is great news!!!!!

once windows phone hits 10% we will build one.
Well its 11.4% in the UK so can we have 1 for the UK.. ;-)

Yeah, come on, v3 for the others already! I think you're just worried you'll have to make it extra smooth and perfect so it doesn't look bad on the clean, stylish windows phone! ;)

You are correct :D Getting closer!!
I am still keen for the release, I gather from reading official replies that it is not a quick and cheap process getting an app to the market. Which is why I propose a bundled app with say 1 month of Diamond membership and it costs the price of the 1 month Diamond fee. After the 1 month expires then it resorts back to the free type with adverts etc. I wonder how many potential WP8 users will be prepared to pay a one off fee to get the app? If you think the Daimond is to expensive then perhaps the Gold or Silver option instead.

I think you need to re-assess your priorities as developers. Windows XP is stopping support in less than 3 months (yes that includes security updates). So all users would have needed to upgrade by then. These users will more than likely replace windows xp with windows 8.1 (ie11).
The 1st priority should be to get IE11 working correctly, backward compatible.
Then IE IE11 with touchscreens support.
Windows RT
Then windows phone
Then jazz up the iphone and android apps as they are currently working. Unless you are going to be using the iphone app as a template to start with for the rest of the apps
