How to prepare for a winning end game.
I feel this is a beautiful end-game. I did make a few blunders during the game but i hung in there and played it out. I took advantage of some bad positioning and a few blunders by black and gained the initiative in the end. It is rare for me to play an endgame with such foresight, I am usually too impatient to put that much thought into the end. I have been told by some high rated players that say I have a strong opening and middlegame but my end game is quite weak so i have been practicing.
That was actually a nice effort; those knights can be trickier than one might think
. Well done on the endgame.
Still, some thoughts: why 35 Rb8? Nf3+ immediately wins back the exchange and gives you a solid endgame. Later on, 42 Rf2+! wins on the spot. King and pawn endgame where the queenside pawns will role. All in all, though, nice effort.
