I have played 1000 games over a year, never broke 1000, and over the course of it, I've only had one high-rated player get snappy with me when I tried apologizing too much for my suckiness. Usually high-rated players just ignore us nubs, and those who do play us I suspect may be looking for a quick ego boost.
