Personally, I think that going to a real club, playing face to face with other people in front of a physical board is the greatest chess experience possible. I don't know if it allows you to progress better than playing online, maybe not, but as an experience there is no comparison. If you have the opportunity to join a club, do so without delay.

Je suis débutant, j’ai commencé il y a 1an et des poussières, et je me passionne de plus en plus. J’ai appris sur le tas, j’ai lu les règles, regarder quelques vidéos, mais je vois bien que je ne progresse pas autant que je le souhaiterais.
