Do bots have an accurate rating?

I'm rated 210 in rapid but I beat like 3 1500 Elo bots. The best player I've beaten was rated 524.

The bots are all easily beatable at 1min time control, they play too slow. So if you just want to beat them use that time control.

Same here. I win against David, and I am 912 or something. No way I will win against 1400 human.

I’m pretty sure some bots are programmed so each move there’s x% of a blunder or mistake. Like I played a 1500 bot that just completely blundered a piece and I won pretty easily after that but I can’t see a 1500 player giving away a full piece that easily

Bot evry 3rd move is usaly min a ?!

Avatar of xAsclepiusx
I think they're random at times

C.C should not make the Bots make mistakes, only just limit their thinking or depht . So in bullet they wont think 10 or more seconds and you will have a chance to beat them normaly to

My experience is that bots may play arbitrarily well at first. But it seems they must be programmed to play “mistakes” at around the same frequency as their stated rating. Those mistakes can be very strange indeed and not even remotely logical. But must meet some quota for a sufficiently bad move for move#X.

And then once in a sufficiently complicated and losing position they start to play inhuman nonsense that isn’t particularly good (hard to play a good move if everything you see predicts you losing) nor is it similar to what humans would play (playing for tricks) at best they play delaying moves that only postpone the inevitable.

But the high level bots are ofcourse strong until they are down alot of material.
But It doesn’t feel like playing against people so I don’t really play the bots anymore unless I’m mucking around.

I am 700 and I can beat a 1500 bot. The bots on chess.com do not have a very accurate rating.

The bots think in terms of points and overall advantage, this sometimes causes them to make stupid moves, but more often if you could calculate 6 moves ahead you would see it was a great move. The bots 1500 or above are at expert level, 1900 and above at a high expert level.

No the do NÜT HAVE ACCÜret rating period
Avatar of Mid-KnightRider

they don't. If ur 750 like me you can easily beat most 1700 bots.

No

Avatar of Jayden3000

One of them played this and they are 1800

I’m level like, 290 right now now and I’ve beaten a 1200 bot, so the ratings are dumb here
