How do you deal with losing a lot?

I have been losing a lot lately than before, and whenever I have a drop in rating points it really makes me lose motivation. What should I do when this happens?

Your rating has risen hundreds of points this year .

You now have dropped 45 points from your peak. 45 points is nothing to worry about. Some people slide by 200+ points.

It still makes me feel like I'm getting worse, but thanks for the response

Yes. That's right.

There is nothing to worry about.

Just play rapid and take your time on moves. Consider making a lichess.org account for free puzzles if you don't want to buy a membership.

The good advice about lichess.

There are not many puzzles for free over here.

Only 5 or 6.

I would say move slower, I was loosing a lot and kept using my emotions to play but that was anger. After I slowed down I started to get back on a winning streak

I bang my head against the wall and then get another beer and play again.

Maybe that is what I am doing wrong?

I can’t say what I do when I lose a lot because this forum has rules that frown upon certain methods of relaxations.

Sorry to hear that you have been loosing a lot.  Treat each loss as a learning experience.  Go over the game and figure out what mistakes you did.  And then try to not repeat those mistakes again.

Sometimes you are just unlucky and play against strong players. just focus on improving your skill and the wins will come back.

You need to wear your " I don't give a sh*t at all" pants before playing
