I've became a 1412-34 in around 3 weeks with past experiences of the game. its gonna take a little while before I can become a 1500 tho maybe 10 weeks.

Improving at any thing in life requires time and dedication. Granted that some people are naturals at some things like some people are natural athletes or good at math or writing but most of us have to work at it. Since you mention that you play for fun and don’t want to study, you are not going to improve very much at all.

Improving means taking the necessary time to look at a variety of areas such as how to get a decent opening, learning tactical mot ifs so that you might hopefully take advantage when such a position occurs in a game and having a decent understanding of end game technique so that when you gain an advantage, you are able to convert that advantage into a win.

Playing Blitz while fun is a no-no for improving. You don’t have time to think, you can’t spend 10 to 15 minutes on a particular position as you try to grasp the imbalances or where the weaknesses might be in both your opponent’s and your position. It leads to making a lot of errors and having winning chance thrown away by a careless mistake by trying to play “beat the clock”.

hi, If u have properly analysis and learn chess tactics, it takes not even 6 months to reach 1500 rating in chess.com.   Note: Daily one hour is  must to do.

1-2 years gap, started chess when I was an adult too.

So if you are young I would say you goal must be within a year or tho.

I am not level 1500 but it depends, your rating could decrease if you lose a game...

@Anonymous_Dragon It's either 4 or 7, there is no "around 4 or 7 months"

GGuessMyName

And I doubt you reached 1400 in 4 months

TuataraDude36

I never got that rating

GGuessMyName

neither do I

GGuessMyName

I'm almost at 1400 after a year and 4 months of playing. I kinda suck, but in my defense I can say I never took any lessons.

GGuessMyName

I also don't have much time to play because of school.

Thats not my answer. I asked you to elaborate cause I didnt get ur point

GGuessMyName

If you can't see why saying "4 or 7 months" is weird then you have a problem.

It makes much more sense to say "4 or 5 months", or "6 or 7 months", you get the idea?

GGuessMyName

Also, if want me to elaborate, just say "please elaborate", otherwise I'm not getting it. I tend to take things literally.

Anonymous_Dragon

Well I get your point . I know I should have said maybe 4 to 7 months ig. But I suggest you to not bother about such irrelevant stuff.

nijamaster100

It took me like 1 week of playing a lot of games.
