So I analyze every game I play to look for ways to improve but there are so many times when I don't see why something was shown to be a mistake or a missed win.

Sometimes its obvious but is there a way to determine why the engine is calling something an inaccuracy, mistake or whatever?

Read the best choice for the engine and do it’ll all make sense eventually.

Analyse without an engine and post your analysis here and see what people say. After you post a handful of games you should start to see realize some of your mistakes before you make them.
