Any rating below 1500 is a sign of frequent blunders.
Always think carefully about your move and check your intended move is no blunder before you play it. This alone will get you to 1500.

No offense, but 416 is not intermediate at all.
In fact it is on the low end even for beginners.
What broke me past this barrier was primarily tactics, as well as basic positional understanding.
Occupy open files with your rooks, don’t block off your bishops without good reason to do so, avoid moving pawns in front of your king, a rook on the seventh rank is generally quite good, etc.
I hope you achieve your goal. :)

Trolling the trolls is fun, and I would say useful.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Sorry you had to tolerate a feud going on in the forum. I also just remembered that Nimzowitsch defense is with black.
Also, the Intermediate is because I once used to have a rating of 985 but I went on long losing streak as I was getting used to the site. I also recently beat all the intermediate bots. I know it's not really the same but still.

tbf a lot of people will say intermediate doesn't even start until like 1700. it's all relative, as long as you think you're improving that's all that matters

Check out the yt series building habits how to improve at chess by chessbrah channel, its great. Dont fool yourself, you are not even close to an intermediate player. In my opinion from 400 to 1000 you just need to not give your pieces for free and take free pieces and thats basicly it.
tactics are pretty important to master early on
