Blitz chess is a little bit a different game. Of course, if you want to become better at any time control, you need to get better at chess in general. But in blitz, it's more important to play solid moves fast and not perfect moves slow (which is better for rapid and classical). If you try to be perfect in blitz, you are either going to get flagged or make a blunder because of the time pressure.
I watched some of your games, I would say that your tactical skills are good, but you very often have no strategic plan which costs you the game. In rapid time format you have time to make a plan but in blitz you have no time to do that. You have to know the position and the plans which are working in that position. I would suggest to study the games of great players from the past such as Capablanca for example. He made good plans which are easy to follow and at the end there is usually a tactical blow which makes it more intresting.
ok firstly im kind of a new player to chess started january this year .
what i would like to ask is my rating in rapid is 1400 and i dont have a problem hanging there.
but in blitz i struggle to reach 1000 it feals like people are much better or about the same lvl in 900 elo games in blitz as to 1300+games in rapid is there any reason . if so please give me an advice on what i need to improve if i want to match my blitz elo to my rapid elo
