Get a book. Spend not more than ~10 minutes on any puzzle.
But do try to spend a few minutes to make your answer as accurate as possible. Don't solve very quickly.
Every puzzle you fail to get 100% correct, try to solve it again a few days later. If you fail it again that's fine, try again after a few more days and keep doing this until you get it right at least once.
Also save puzzles that are interesting to you whether you got them right or wrong. Try to solve them again or look at them from time to time. In particular save any puzzles like this that show you a new idea you think will be useful to remember.
