"1. Play 1-3 30|0 games a day and analyze each one" ++ 15|10 is better than 30|0. 1 game is enough. Do not bother analysing won games: focus on analysis of your lost games.

"2. Read at least 1 chapter a day in a chess book" ++ Depends on how good the book is. Chess books are no novels, do not read them, study them with 2 chess sets: one for the main line, one for variations.

"3. Solve 20 tactics a day" ++ 20 may be excess. 4 is enough. It is good to start with as a warm-up.

"4 Solve 20 vision tests. 10 coordinates and 10 moves. Will use white in half and black in half" ++ pretty useless.

"5. Sudy one master game a day. Preferably one in an opening I play" Yes, surely good.

I apologize but what is a vision test?? Sounds stupid but I have no idea!!

On the website if you hover over learn you will see an option for vision and click and you'll find out. Also I play a lot of daily! I have over 70 games going on right now.

thank you re: vision!!!

I have been told I have too many daily games, when I am at 30 by people much better than me.  I don't know you or your sitch, but 70 games, and doing all of that other stuff, how you have time for life lol

jamesstack

I wonder if he plans on analyzing all 70 of those games plus the rapid games he plays....sounds like quire the task to me!

I don't plan on analyzeing my daily games unless they are interesting. I just use daily to practice opeings

assgatito

I think you will quickly go to hate a plan and want for you to choose what to do each day. Just me, I'm kind of a weirdo that way.

daily to practice openings? Daily is probably the best measure of your chess ability, as there is no time crunch to make a mistake, if you hang your queen its because your are ( or I am stupid), not because of time pressure.

I disagree. Daily allows the use of the explorer and other chess resources that aren't permitted in live play + Daily is notorious for being riddled with engine users

if that is your opinion then you are correct I will not try to convince you because a man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.

Depends on how you play your daily games, do you spend a couple hours on each move or do you take a quick look at the position and make a move after a second and move on to the next game? (cough cough me playing daily)

Haha fair but it’s designed to allow for thought yes I too play rapid or blitz daily lol

Would recommend your study plan include an end goal (what results will be accomplished from your study), even interim goals, and an approximate timeline.  Time is a valuable commodity; be productive and effective in your studies.   BTW—great ideas from everyone

The endgoal is NM happy.pngIntermiadiate goal's are 2k chess.com 1800 OTB, and 2000 OTB

If your end goal is NM i.e. classical time control and you have 5 hours to spend per day,
then I would recommend:
1) Solve 12 tactics puzzles at 90 s each = 20 minutes
2) Play a 45|45 game = 3 hours
3) If you lost the game, then analyse it thoroughly for 1:40 hours, else study an annotated grandmaster game for 1:40 hours

If your that serious about getting a title you need a coach

Honestly it might be too much? Idk, everyone is different after all. Personally for me it's at least 30 mins of tactics a day and at least 30 mins of opening prep a day, then playing 1-3 rapid games

How learn to play in chess very good?

Boogalicious

This routine worked wonders for me:

1. Wake up, swallow 4 raw eggs (eat the shells), go for a 2 mile jog to wake your brain up.

2. Solve 50 tactical puzzles as fast as you can.

3. Watch one episode of 'The Queen's Gambit and try to memorize catchy chess expressions.

4. Play 10 rated rapid games against much lower rated opponents and say "GG" every time you crush them. This will boost your self-esteem.

5. Lunch - 10 mcnuggets and a banana and celery smoothie while reading a chapter of "How to beat your dad at chess".

6. Argue with strangers on chess.com forum for hours about whether chess is a sport and how the advanced French has been refuted.

7. Play 10 bullet games against much higher rated opponents and report them for cheating if they win. (or abuse if they say GG after they win).

8. Dinner - eat a steak and a 10 potatoes and watch a funny cat video on YouTube.

9. Solve 50 tactics as slowly as possible before bed.

Repeat each day.
