where are the real beginners?

I’m a 300/400 elo. I’m constantly playing people who are rated 1000/1300 in other time controls and lose bad. Where are the real beginners? What time control can I play so the level is sort of even? Why isn’t there just one elo score for all time controls??? It’s basically taking candy from a baby.

You have played 3,368 games.
While it is true that your bullet rating remains below 400, your blitz rating recently started shooting upwards and at 489 has almost reached 500.
I find it hard to believe that you think it would be more fair to pair you with someone who just learned the game today.

Focus on rapid and classical time controls, where players tend to be more closely matched in skill level. Blitz and bullet games can attract more experienced players who can handle quick decision-making under time pressure.
Try using the Custom option to set a rating range when you look for games. It’s pretty good at all time controls finding similar ranged opponents. Bullet you will have to have a wide range because it’s generally higher rated players.

Some people are bad at bullet because you don't have time to think. Doesn't mean they "pretend" to be 350 or anything.
I'm much better in longer time controls myself because i take more time to think about the moves and avoid blunders.
I’m a 300 but i frequently beat my friends who are rated at 400-700 and 1300 respectively so i doubt I’m a REAL beginner
here lol. i still don’t know a lot of strategy so i have a low elo but i’m trying to learn
I’m bad but I’m good if that makes any sense at all
I’m impulsive but i know the strategy well (enough) to be alright
Hey, I’m here. Ranked at around 570 but sucking badly. The game started me at 800 but I think I should be 400-450. Everybody keeps suckering me with early Queen attacks—it’s soooo embarrassing. 😅🤷♂️ I’m getting too afraid of losing to click the fkn play button!
