Chess As A Journey

Chess is like a journey to the unknown. There are those who are very careful in threading their path with calculated moves. There are also those who wished to explore and ventures into new moves and may stumbled. Mistakes are out there, waiting to be made... But most important of all, we need to learn from our past mistakes in order to make us a better chess player (enthusiasm = deep thinking).

Dave, I would put that at the top of my list of ways to improve in life or chess: learn from one's own mistakes. Point well made.

Enthusiasm = smile in your face = your brain agrees

Paul211, actually this website does provides a game analysis. One game analysis per week for a registered member. As a paid member, you could have your game analysed each time you have finished your game. For a serious chess player, this will surely help them in deep thinking.

Thanks, LATITUTE... Smile

Dave are you that guy from the tv show? "SUPER DAVE" or something like that?

DaveBunn

Not at all 0-0. I don't watch tv now and then, maybe once a while. I guess that's why I don't know some tv programs.

You should! Super Dave is SO cool!

I bet you are somewhat cool too, but rather try-'n-be like Super Dave ok?

DaveBunn

O-O, I rather be myself. No pressure and easy going. That's me... and that's how I deal with challenges.

a little trying will not kill you!

Even in chess, ideally, we should learn from mistakes. But sometimes, most often than not, I played like rookies. Got carried away and tried to venture into new moves. Sometimes, I even lost to a lower rated player. Actually, this blog is a reminder to me of my own weaknesses that I liked to get carried away.
