new names for chess pieces

I made a Star Wars chess set out of Legos once. Pieces were:
King - Master (Yoda for white and Sideous for black)
Queen - Jedi (Obi-wan for white and Darth Vader for black was what I chose)
Bishop - Assassin (they were assassin droids)
Knight - Fighter (spaceships of course, since they can jump over things)
Rook - Shield Generator (the only thing I could think to make that looked remotely like a rook XD)
Pawn - Droid (like little R2-D2 droids)
I had fun playing with these. :P

it really pisses me off when something works and some idiot wants to "improve" it so that it no longer works.

chess is creative enough the way it is, so if you dont enjoy it the way it is then perhaps you should look for a different game?
in answer to justcheckin: I agree the game is just right the way it is and I don't really want to change the names, that's why I posted this under chess for fun. No harm in using a little imagination

fair enough. ever watch the big bang theory when the nerds invent games like 3 level chess or chess with a few extra pieces that have weird names and "attack" qualities? the ridiculoulsness is the funny part.
another fun variation was in MASH when hawkeye and pj invented a game with no rules that combined poker, draughts, chess and god knows how many other games which made absolutely no sense at all ...
my idea of fun in chess is if i can force an unusual ending like kn and bish v lone king or king and queen v king and rook ....
another fun ending is if you have an advanced pawn on the a or h square and can get your king into the corner, you can let your opponent queen and watch his frustrastion as he tries to look for a square that simply isnt there while trying to force a mate .....
a variation of the same thing is if you queen and your opponent has a pawn on the 7th rank but not on the a or h file, then using the "bridge building" method of getting your king into position to help the queen capture the pawn. somebody told me it is possible to force a draw with a threatened stalemate if the pawn is on the c or the f file, but i havent checked that out yet ...

I'm tired of the names for the pieces: "king", "queen", etc. It's so medieval. Can you suggest new names? Maybe related to a theme?
