the art of getting the same position after 17 moves playing two completely different games.
That’s so cool except...
who checks their opponent’s archives lol
A. The other game is a different guy
B. I checked the liche** database not his archive
I get it
I lost a tempo playing Bf5-h7-xd3 over the other game just being Bf5-xd3
And he lost a tempo playing Be2-d3 over just Bd3
oh nvm I thought it was spanyard in both games lol
understandable I did at first too
That’s so cool except...
who checks their opponent’s archives lol
Me because I am a studious player who studies my opponents and learns from the mistakes of others as well as myself. Yeah, I can be serious about improving in lots of things - not just chess ![]()
also the way the game went actually made sense in the 2100 game but the game I played was so awkward lol
I generally think the game with the 2100s was higher quality
Also, cool observation @rychessmaster1 - it isn't as rare as it seems though. Statistically, so many games played will offer transposition; what interests me more here is that this position is not so common (although logical to say the least).

This needs to be printed on an "old scroll" with coffee browning and candle burns around the edges. The French makes this look like a time when candles and lanterns were the source of light in the dark ![]()
