Very complicated game, 7h4 is a line that is very popular with current elite GM's, but I don't really understand the resulting positions. I have tried 7Qg4 Qc7 then Geller's old idea 8Bd3. Personally find old fashioned lines are more understandable, and at my level cause enough problems for opponent.
Looked at the candidates two games involving Nepo, and he played 7...Qc7. In that line black always play h6 for some reason. Giri mentions 9..b6 10a4 has being quite strong for white, so 9...Qa4 was interesting. Maybe 11Rb1 trying to make it harder for black to develop queen-side, borrowing idea from MVL v Nepo. After 11Nf3 black seemed to be doing ok.
So I played this game last night over the board. In reality, Black should have won this game, likely due to an early mistake by White (myself), or perhaps, if move 10 itself was not a mistake, then the way White followed up was wrong.
Note that all of the analysis is mine, not that of a computer.
