Analyze the position with you to move only?  I don't see the problem.  Hit the right arrow TWO TIMES I mean,  simple!

on my machine you left mouse click the "analyze" button to generate the analysed PGN file then "hitting the right arrow" two times advances two moves through the analysed game .

I have no idea what you're talking about but that's OK

Uhhhhh,  are yuo TROLLING?  After the GAME as you scroll thru the MOVES  just click twice,  don't analyze the POSTION every move,  paus and think about every OTHER move,   that just is Simple!

this thread is about limiting Chess.com computer analysis to one side only .  I put it in the wrong section of the Forum - it should have been in "Site Feedback / Suggestions" or whatever ...

I guess you are talking about human analysis which is probably what this section of the forum is supposed to be about.

Analysing just your own moves, and not your opponents is plain stupid. It takes two to tango.

certainly while playing the game we need to consider the moves our opponent might make but what about after the game is over and we're looking at the computer analysis ? [that's what this thread is about]

after the game is over do you really care what your opponent should have done but didn't ?

after the game is over don't you care MORE about what YOU should have done than what your opponent should have done but didn't ?

That's not surprising.

well , now that we're friends ... maybe you could give me some advice about my last game ?

at my level (blunderfest) black's 23rd move seemed gutsy at the time but maybe obvious to everybody else .   any other comments RE: black would be welcome apart from "give up chess now and kill yourself"  etc

That sac was interesting, and looks pretty good (and after all you've got 3 pawns for it anyway).  But how about (earlier on) 19... ef+?  Doesn't look like he's gonna last too much longer.

yup , computer said 19 ... d4 was another blunder all right and suggested your move 19 ... ef+

I saw the disaster of 20.Kxf2 but not what would happen after 20.Rxf2 .  I smelled blood in the water but my vision was too dim .  To avoid getting stupid at times like that I try to find simpler moves that are still kind of strong but more certain seeming (to me).   Otherwise I often find a way to lose a won game and then want to "give up chess and kill myself"  !

Like HIARCS Chess Explorer - it turns out Lucas Chess ALSO provides option to limit engine analysis of games to either colour or both. The output is WAY better than anything I've seen elsewhere btw

If it's such a stupid idea to limit engine analysis to one colour only why would both these programs offer it ?
