Attacking pawn structure?

Hi - new to developing my chess game. One of the things I’ve worked on doing is completing trades that damage their pawn structure by stacking etc....what are thoughts on using pieces to entice opponent to block with pawns, not to trade but just to pull them out.

It seems that if I can get opponent to overcommit in pawn development that could leave main pieces behind more vulnerable. Is this a good move or is it damaging as those pawns now put pressure against my own pieces?

Thoughts and feedback welcome! I haven’t gotten into training so not sure where to look for good answer

No idea what you are trying to say.  An example would be nice.

I see your blitz rating is 941.  I haven't looked at your games, but what I can say which might help you is this:  time and time again, I have seen players about your strength that learn about pawn structure issues greatly overvalue pawn structure issues.  Its a bit of learning that players of your strength arent totally ready for.  Concentrate on developing fast, castling, and playing with care to reduce blunders and spot the blunders of your opponent.

My comment has nothing to do with you personally - I haven't looked at your games, and we all start out as beginners.  Just tell you what I have observed, time and time again.  Its great to start thinking about pawn structure a bit, but just be aware that if you overvalue those issues its going to lead you astray.

The "Matador's Cloak" plan you are describing is double-edged.

Yes, if you can get your opponent to advance his Pawns rashly then it is possible to exploit the weakness this causes. Every Pawn advance leaves a dual row of weakened squares behind it, like the wake of a motor-boat. One typical way of exploiting this is to open lines just to one side of the advanced Pawns and infiltrate on the diagonals that cut in behind them.

But as I say, it is double-edged. The player who is advancing the Pawns also gets a lot of play, so you will need to accurately balance defense and counter-attack in order to both survive his attack and exploit the weaknesses of the advancing Pawns.

Making doubled pawns doesn't help that much until you and your opponents get stronger, but if you find that it helps do it
