I don't really get your deal, kid. Why do you hate trading queens? Like, what the heck is actually wrong with trading queens? If you're playing like normal and continuing with your plan and he goes out of his way to trade queens, just trade queens with him, you will have developed your pieces and stuff while he has accomplished little to nothing
WELL, I've seen it before and it's not a big deal for me, but he doing it EVERYTIME annoys me.

@CHT192: Fair enough. You may be the best player in your school, but that's because almost all "casuals" are sub-800 patzers. (The one exception to this rule is a math teacher who I think plays at a good 1200 level.)

Just a word on the "You are no expert" comment:
In chess, the word "Expert" has a very specific denotation... it refers to a player rated between 2000 and 2199.
I'm an Expert. You are probably a Class player (rated under 2000).
This thread is asinine! There's a simple solution (barring immediate tactics). If his queen is active, and yours is passive, or if you have a space disadvantage, let him trade! It only helps you!
If your queen is more active than his, or if you have a huge space advantage and he is suffocating, don't trade! Move away!
Qxd1/d8 cases are usually no good for the one initiating the trade. If the Rook is connected, you develop my Rook for me. If not, and I have to do King takes, then following up with c3 and Kc2 (or c6 and Kc7) with no queens on the board and I'm totally safe and my opponent has no advantage at all!
You need to study ideas on when to liquidate and when not to. Forget about the Queen! She's only 1 of 16 pieces you have. Look at the big picture. The actual position!
