just got done playing a game and the "coach" said promote to a bishop over a queen. the analysis buttoned say queen equals m14 but bishop only equalls strong position.
What a drag (for achievement)
"Game review" talking random nonsense is normal, but it actively lying is remarkable.

I can sort of see what you are talking about. The tablebase shows that you can win by promoting to a queen or a bishop. It is not a coach. The tablebase is a computer program that has worked out all the possible moves with only 6 or fewer pieces on the board. It shows the exact moves required. It also shows that if you promoted to a rook, you could only get a draw. (There is also one for 7 or fewer pieces. It is not available here as far as I know.)
The table base would show that a win with the queen is faster than the one where you promote to a bishop but promoting to a bishop still wins easily.

The OP explicitly said: "the Coach" told him that promoting to a bishop is best.
That's a very far cry from the tablebase listing them as both winning.
