I have bought Deep Fritz 14 for its famaous analysis feature, But I am very very very disappointed, It takes a long time to analyse a game even when I reduce time in settings, Do I need such a time wasting analysis with a 1500 rating? I used to analyse my games with SmallChess iPhone app, It's a very simple program and It do not take my time at all, for each move I have a graphical meter that shows score(- black is wining and + wihte) and it also shows about next 5 moves done by its powerful engine in each position, when someone blunders in game the scoremeter suddenly changes and the You find the blunders, I thought Fritz should have a user friendly interface, but I didn't found something like that graphical meter and I think It is ridiculous for a computer to explain in plain english.

why don't you just go through the game and see where you went wrong and what could you do better, even at a master level that would be enough. DF14 has the features you are talking about, you just need to get used to it

You say that it takes a long time to analyze a game.  How long?  How long are you asking the engine to look at each position?

If your favorite engine analyzes each position for 5 to 10 seconds, that should be more than enough, not only for someone with a 1500 rating, but for ratings much higher than that.  Today's engines are very strong and today's PCs are very fast.

You could always have it analyze your games overnight, while you sleep, if you wanted the engine to analyze each position for a much longer period of time.  But even that would be unnecessary.

I use Fritz for analysis. What I do is put in on "Infinite Analysis" mode and then just step though my game. I have Infinite Analysis mode configured to show the best 10 moves for the side to move, and it shows the principal variation for each of those 10 moves, plus the evaluation. Then I can see how my move compared to the best moves.

Ed is pretty much correct. A really deep analysis can be very useful for a particular position but for a whole game, anything more than a few seconds a move and you quickly start talking law of diminishing returns.

Even though Fritz is by no means the strongest commercial software (it's one of the weakest) it should still give you better feedback than any app on your iphone.
