Do you enjoy playing a losing game?

You missed a simple win with 39. c4+ picking up blacks rook, second people can play on if they want.  Just stay calm and win.  I've lost winning positions, I've won lost positions and I've drawn lost positions, and this is in over the board play at a time control of 90+30.

Well, I'm sure all these low rated players who play out very lost positions against people of a similar rating always analyse their games afterwards...and I'm sure their opponents have masterful technique to learn from.  But they would still learn most of what is to learn, if not all of it, from analysing where they got into the losing position in the first place.  But some people have a lot of spare time I suppose.

Yes!  I enjoy playing chess.  When I am playing in a certainly lost position I'm playing to see how many moves I can extend the game, or whether I can force a draw, or whether I can get into a stalemate.  While I still have enough pieces to have a chance I winning I still play to win, I would get more draws if I shifted sooner to focus on getting a forced draw.

Why do some chess players think playing for an overall win is always the only reason to play chess?  Do you know of any other sport or game where resigning after you become quite sure you will lose is common practice for some players?  If you lose interest in playing chess when you become sure you will lose the game, then I suggest you either figure out a different goal for that particular game each time you are in that situation or consider picking a different form of competition.  If you think you enjoy playing chess, but in a losing position you get so bored you want to quit that game, then I think you don't really enjoy playing chess.

Yes and no. Obviously everyone hates loosing, but you do not have much pressure
