im very happy with this result, but there must be something to improve..

oh Rolf1, I don't know.  It is a good result.  20. Nxg5??  (I would have played 20. Nc5 which pins the B. If Bd4+, followed by Qxd4 and white has momentum.)

That is why black got away with a draw. Black 20. .. Bd4+ (!) was innovative.I liked that sequence indeed.

22. .. Rad8??  should have been followed by 23. Qa7 .. which would open the a,b,c for future promotion. White could easily stave off the Qg5 attack with g3 after black f3. white would have maintained momentum.

I just play as I feel so I'm not really a well educated in all the official stratgies but I didn't like your 13th move pawn b3, that meant "in a way" your knight on e4 couldn't move because you had opened the rank to your rook with b3.  But to be honest Rolf I don't think I could have drawn with an 1880 rating so you probably thought of that and decided it was still the best move.

I would have moved knight e4 to c5 threatening to take the pawn on b7 with a follow on threat to his queen. Also it exposes a nasty threat to his pawn on e5

A more attacking stance?

Move 3 weekens any possible castle kings side. Move 6 didn't seem to gain much only extra protection of the week pawn. I would have pinned his knight to his queen with my white square bishop wich also means your black square bishop has now got one of the two beads you need to take the queens pawn, your queens side knight provides an easy 2nd if possible 

Even better he had 1880 and a white advantage. Well done Rolf
