Couldn't you have done 37. Rxh7+, Kg8. 38. Qg7++ to end it sooner? So I guess you did that wrong, and your opponent did wrong in not knowing that also and stubbornly trying to promote his pawn when his king was under that much pressure. But I've just fallen in love with your advancing pawn wall with the bishops and queen backing them all up in a pillar... is this a well known attack plan? Where I can study it? Thanks

Sorry for innaccuracies, this is my first post and move annotation

Nope, 36... a1=Q+ CHECK. Hence 37. Kh2.

One thing I noticed right away. Your opponent has plenty of time to push that pawn forward after he made sure his king was safe. Failing to do this lead him to the draw. This game feels very rushed to say the least though - ie, lots of mistakes on both ends. Was this a blitz game?

35... Rg8 would have prevented losing his bishop and getting himself into the draw situation. For example, 35... Rg8 36. Qa7 Qb2 37. Rb7 Qc3 and the bishop or knight is gone with an excellent passed pawn on d4. He probably loses the pawn on a3 eventually, but not without white sacrificing even more material.

TwoMove

After horrible blunder 21...Nd7 you are peice for pawn up in position after 23...Qc6, so you should really be winning this game. Instead of going for king-side hack with 24f5, you could consider eliminating your opponents threats with something like 24Ra3. It certainly wasn't forced for the a-pawn to become as big a factor as was in autual game.

35... Rg8 36 c5 appears to work:  36... Qxc5 37 Rxg7 draws; 36... dc 37 Bc4.

A bit earlier, 33 c5 looks very strong.  Black can't play 33... Qxc5 because of 34 Rc2 with the 35 Rc8+ threat looming.

yes i see it now thanks . that seems to give me a very good chance
