end game blunder!!!

7. Bf4...hmm looks strangly familar ;)
10. Nd5. The knights guarded by your pawn, but the capture sequence leaves the pawn hanging, as is what happens.
12 Qxe7. His queen is now on the file with your king. Thats a situtation that should get resolved quickly or else you risk something getting pinned in front of your king to block.
14 C4. A desporate attempt to save the pawn on D5. Better might have been to let it go and move your kings bishop to E2 bringing it into the game.
20 Ba2. Defensive stance to guard the pawn on C4. Another route would have been QD7, taking an offensive stance by attacking his bishop and pawn at the same time.
21. Qe2? This move fails to accomplish anything. D1 is well guarded by both rooks.

53...Kf2 is a blunder but not for the reason you gave, even if he checks you you still both queen when you move away with Kb2

a 2 point lead is good to have in the end game, especially on both sides of center. you did a nice job of reducing his force. and the quintesential pawn move was great for the win. nice play Will.

pawnpower314> ...where i felt he could have beaten me, and in the end, he made one bad move that lost the game for him.
pawnpower314> so i figure i will try to queen before you can ... but if you play out the moves. i cant get to the other side before you check me
That's true, but checking you doesn't change that both of you will queen, when you would have Q+2P vs Q+P--a small advantage but not enough to win. So he didn't go from won to lost, he went from drawn to lost as mwill pointed out.
