When I saw this video I didn't feel like 2000 rated players play better than me tbh.
that's because it was his first time seeing my weird vienna innovation of Bc4!
I played it because I didn't like the engine's best move, Nf3. Also, Stockfish gives Qh4+(or Qh5+, I'm too lazy to check) a mistake/inaccuracy. nice
Your opponent probably hadn't faced the Vienna, taking on f4 was a huge mistake

Technically black has no big problems if he just retreats the knight to g8 and after white plays Nf3 he can strike back with d6 and trade queens with a good game. But I haven't seen anyone play Bc4 instead of Nf3, so...

After Ng8 black is behind in development and white has better center control. I would choose white every time.

I actually spent two days playing that Bc4 Vienna variation against myself and convinced myself that white's king was actually perfectly safe

Technically Black has a miserable position, but apparently you don't mind about such nuances.
It is precisely your Bc4 line which allows Black to set things in some order by a quick ...d6 instead of the stupid ...Qh4+ excursion.

could you analyze that game hosmar
Hey, I got a chance to look at you game, it will be up soon.

Hey, I just played this game (white) and I feel like it was really good! But I'm still looking to improve so what could I have done better? Thanks so much.
I've just started learning queens gambit, so especially looking for tips on the opening too.

@MinecraftProGamer-1 You missed a great chance to win, but it was hard to see. After the fork, you could've done Bh7+ and after the king takes you can weaken the kingside even more and eventually mate black. Always look for checks captures and threats when in doubt because most of the time you'll have better positions when you have that mindset. But you are a beginner, so it was clear that you missed that tactic.
i don’t get it but thank you! my friends said im underrated if I don’t hang pieces so i trying not to hang my bishop like that so I didn’t think about it.
