Game Anaysis: Chessmaster

I was playing Chessmaster, and this was my game. Can you analyse it for me? I had a really risky plan, was there anything better? Did I miss anything?

Your help is greatly appreciated!

That was pretty cool actually. The ending would be really hard and frustrating for a real player... giving away all the pieces like that just so you can checkmate him. Not much of a Chess Master though is he?

good eye on needing to remove that queen for your plan... but if playing against a real player or a higher rated computer opponent i think your rook would have been munched and the mate easily defended.... But it is a fun mate! just unrealistic =)

Good opening but crazy in the end. What's the rating of that chessmaster opponent anyway?

Well for a mobile game i really doubt it's 1800 and it heavely depend on the procesor of your movil, just to make a quick compare the psp version of chessmaster on its hardest mode its rated 1850 but when i duel it with fritz 11 at 1600 lvl cap fritz won fairly clearly but its understandable since a the psp version dont have the opening book nor endgame reference. based on this i would guess the movil version of chessmaster should be arround 1400.  Once again its only my guessing.

All those crazy bishop maneuvers... 11...Bf5?!, 12...Bc8?, and 15...Bf5??. if it played like this on every mobile, I can't imagine anyone would buy or use this regularly. Is it possible you had the difficulty set to low, or perhaps it's just buggy on your mobile? My guess is that it played at the USCF 1000 to 1100 level.

By the way, 23.Rb5?! wasn't a good plan. When you're winning, it's better to simplify, eg 23.Rxd8. Against a good player your move would have taken you from winning to losing.

Personally I woulda just moved the rook to c5 on the 23rd move, and then proceeded with your really good plan.

23.Rb5? Qxb5

24.Qc2 g6

And your game is lost. You cannot hope your opponent won't see a potential mate or make a bad move, you must always assume he will make the best move. Because in higher levels of chess, they almost never make mistakes. You usually have to force them, and Qc2 in itself does not force a mate. But otherwise, it's a really cool plan.

I really appreciate your imput, I agree chessmaster is not amzing, sometimes it makes the same moves over and over, but it has a decent opening book and definately worth $3-4. Looking back, my Knight and Pawn advantage was probably not worth risking for this attack. Thanks LDSSDL, likesforests,I like your moves, and thanks for the advice :) I guess I got somewhat impatient, all or nothing.
