Help with computer analysis

This position has been taken from one of my recent games.White has just played Bc5.Computer analysis says best move for black is b5.Why would black leave its rook at f8 to be taken by white's bishop?Why not move the rook to e8?

IMO,

1..Re8 2.Bxd5 cxd5 3.Rxb7 is not as bad for black as it is when its rook is gobbled.

Am I missing something very obvious?

your queen side has dark square weakness and the dark squared bishop has higher penetration than the rook as there is no open file.
