How do I play queen's gambit accepted for white?

Specifically, I'm talking about this kind of position:

The resulting position often leads to an endgame where white has strong control over the center, but black has an outside passed pawn. Even though stockfish gives a +1 evaluation for white, I don't know how to convert it, and often times lose to black successfully pushing the pawn down.
