It is possible to turn them off.
You can turn them back on in settings.

I really appreciate your response, but I don't see the same options available under settings on my screen. I posted a screen shot above. Is there some other way to access the "show coach" setting?
How do I turn on coach explanations when I'm watching/observing a game? They showed up until about a week ago. My membership level hasn't changed. There used to be a "review" tab next to "analysis" when i was watching/observing games, and now this is gone.
