How do you turn off "auto-moves" during a game review?

When reviewing a game, sometimes I press "show moves" to review what move would have been best instead of what was actually played. Often the "show moves" comes with a sequence of moves, not just one (Which is very helpful).

But what is frustrating is that I want to pause on moves within the sequence, slowing it down for me to soak in the info. But the interface will just automatically play the moves without stopping. And if I hit the left arrow to go back to a previous move, it will go back, but then still automatically make the next moves in the sequence, w/o a moment for pausing.

Also, I don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but when reviewing the moves that were actually played during a game (not the "show best move" moves), the interface will automatically play through the game without pausing. Even after hitting the left or right arrows on the keyboard to go back or forward, the interface will still keep autoplaying moves, making it hard to digest the info.

Is there a fix to this that I'm missing? Thank you so much

Just to clarify on the last point, when reviewing games, the interface doesn't always autoplay moves, but sometimes I get a glitch(?) where the interface will autoplay the moves and there's no way to make it stop unless I refresh the page and reload the game review.

I am trying to figure this out as well. It is very inconsistent.

If only there was a mode where you can see all the top moves with their evaluations and you can try any move in any position, going back and forth, as you wish.

Oh wait, there is such a mode, called "Analysis". You can just go there with literally one click.

Sorry that I tried to help you, I promise that it will never happen again.

There's a difference between helping and being an insufferable prick. Unfortunately, you were being the latter.

It bugs out sometimes. The same thing happens to me if I click through the moves too fast.

Also - when this bugs out on Review - it also bugs down on analysis.

When you click on the "Show Moves" button, let the move sequence play out. Then you can click on a move within the sequence and step through the moves at your own pace.

The same should be true for the whole game. Let the game review finish the whole game. Then you can go back and step through moves.

Try refreshing the browser. If that doesn't work, then clear your browser's cache.

This does nothing:

Settings -> Interface -> Autoplay Show Moves

Settings for me is top right of board on game review

Click the last move in the sequence, that will automatically stop the auto-play. Now just use the left/right arrow keys to scroll through the moves manually.

I would like to know how to shut off the banner that keeps covering everyone’s game I look at asks me if I want a review. Annoysville

idk

There is a setting to change the delay between moves in Show Moves or even turn off autoplay completely. Open up your settings when you run a Game Review and toggle off "Autoplay Show Moves"
