You could make religion out of this!
How good are my opening techniques? Game vs HIKARU-BOT

Really doesn't seem to want to show the game, no matter How I try, anyway, here is the URL if you want: https://www.chess.com/live/game/5266971045

scotch is cool, i play scotch four knights. i think you did well in the opening, but you should play with a plan. it didn't look like you had a goal you wanted to achieve, like getting a promotion on the queenside or starting a huge attack on the kingside. that could help win a lot of games

Nah, I was just testing my opening techniques and after that I had to go do i played faster and "obviously" lost
Plus it's hikaru, against him I play purely defensive

Playing purely defensive chess is just asking for trouble as it gives your opponent the initiative. That allows your opponent to build up an attack at will and position their pieces on their ideal squares. A good player loves it when their opponent is too frightened to create threats or counter attack.

It's a bot, they don't think up traps, they play the best moves

a bot does not always play best moves, only most of the times. but they also make inaccuracies and sometimes even blunders. Hikaru bot is a bot against whom defense won't just work out, because his attack will be stronger than your defense. you have to go into all out aggressive mode and try to make your attack, no matter how strong, strike first. See my game against Hikaru bot. After losing 7 times with defensive play, i won with all out offense https://www.chess.com/analysis/game/live/5244887624

I think you just simply played some inaccuracies too small to be measured and slowly got into a losing position (which was still playable, mind you) but then you blundered.

If you want to play very defensive, try the hippopotamus opening.
It's OVERPOWERED haha
You should stop thinking about openings and you should start thinking about not blundering. That is the way forward. This game was lost because you blundered with 24. Nd2.
