How to beat an 1800+ in 1 minute

28...Qxb3 might have been the worst possible move.
No, I think the damage had already been done... 24...Nxh1? was the blunder, allowing the winning double check.
Instead of 24...Nxh1? I think 24...Ng3! gives black a lot to work with... that's a position for the tactics trainer IMO. Sexxy.

28...Qxb3 might have been the worst possible move.
If he had played QD7 I would still have eaten him alive surely?

After 28...Qd7 29.Qh7# is strong. If you want to fault his losing the Queen Qa4+ was the error... but he was in deep doo-doo already.

Interesting game but why did Anthony give you his last bishop??
I love playing him, when he's hot he's very hot and skins you but when he plays like this it's great!!

My favourite move in this game is 12. Kd1.
Hilarious!
I thought it was great when I made it!

There are so many poor moves in this game that it is a perfect example of why 1 min games are worthless.

i dont get it

...NOT the Qxb3.
Qa4+ have been the worst possible move!

Looks like a finger slip : obviously meant to play Q b3 followed by Q c3.
Player probably did not think he could reverse move before submitting it.
Very ethical.

The outrageous suggestion was made early in this thread that Qxb3+ was the worst possible move on the board. It may have been the 30th worst move on the board, as (if I counted correctly) there are 29 legal moves that permit mate in 1.
magic-yak, in answer to your question, perhaps you can learn something from this. Go to the position after blacks 11th move and see if you can find a move that is a lot better than Kd1 (without being under the severe pressure of the clock).
