Messy position and a terrible blunder

Thought I would share this game that I just played. I plan on posting all the daily games I play and give some of my thoughts on them. This game was really messy. The biggest points that I got was 8..d3 was a mistake by my opponent and that I mixed my move order up on move 25. I had every intention of playing 25.Rxf5 and then 26.Nf7+ which is completely winning as far as I can tell. When I looked at the position to respond, I got excited by the immediate Nf7+ and completely forgot everything else. This is a common problem for me and I'm working on it. I think that after 25.Nf7+?? I might even be losing or that the very best outcome would be a draw. It sure felt losing to me after I realized my mistake.

What in the world was 6. h3??

Not afraid of Qh4+?

I was absolutely wrong about 8..d3 It is actually the best move... knights are always tricking me... The opening was garbage and the endgame wasn't played well either. Overall terrible game for me...

Yep, sure enough. 6.h3 is terrible too...

To be honest I haven't been checked by Qh4 in a long time. I don't usually play f4 in the opening but I think it is a good move here. I have to remember there is more than Qa5+ possible in the opening. This is a good reminder.

Easy enough to figure out.  White plan is to:

1. Not develop any pieces.

2. Weaken the dark squares around his king.

3. Not do any of that sissy castling stuff.

Bravo!

Nice troll. For your information, move 13 isn't just 3 letter o's. It actually means a player castled queenside. Bet you didn't think that was possible. I know how confused you must be. Maybe you should take a seat.

Aside from h3 (which was a mistake), what would you suggest I do different up to the position you posted? I'm fairly certain the moves were fine up to that point but I'm open to discuss it.
