Here's my second professional attempt at annotating my most recent win. I missed quite a few checkmates, etc. Let me know what you think.

Mine too, along with tactics in general.  Check out Chess Tactics for Champions and Chess: 5334 Problems, Combinations, and Games to help with that.  Both books are Polgar books and I think they are great.  I'm currently studying both of them.

Do you recommend using the pieces and board to do the puzzles or software that allows setup of the peices in order to solve the puzzles?

With the Tactics for Champions book, I try to visualize the moves and write them out.  If I can't see it, I just leave it blank.  When I'm done with that section, I check my answers and review any errors.  I try to do as much as I can without a computer or pieces.  If you need assistance, I'd recommend using a real set though to help with your visualization.  I have a premium account here so I use the chess.com tactics trainer also.  With it, I do around 30 minutes at a time.  When I'm finished, I go to my tactics training home page and print a screenshot of the ones I missed, put the correct answer on the back, and make flashcards of them.  You could do that on the computer too, but I work on computers all day and get tired of looking at the screen.  Smile
