strange, unexpected victory

Hi everybody,

I played the game just a few minutes ago and I cannot understand how I could win, with a so bad opening!

I was tired and perhaps a little overloaded with study, so I didn't play a good beginning.

After a few moves, I decided to go on and try to give a sense to what I was doing!

Here it is my game, with my personal annotations:

As you can see from my moves, I am a very bad player, so I would like to know what you think about this match and if my won was just a lucky thing or not...

Thank you!

Bye

Nxc3 on move 17 for white would have killed u

What's wrong with your opening? Your pieces are developed and coordinated. White on the other hand is a mess.

(As for 16... Qxc3, though...)

Your win got pretty lucky on 17. Qxc3, instead of Nxc3Laughing

Post 2 already said it.

Thank you very much.... What a big luck on 17th move!

How couldn't I notice it ?!?!?

in your opinion, what are the first skills I must improve?

I've been playing through some end games by grandmasters, and it's making things easier in the middle gameSmile

I've played through a few dozen master games, concentrating on the end game. When I feel confident about my end game, I can work out a strategy in the middle game. Does that help?Smile

ah! OK... yes, it does...

so you are basically saying I should focus the most of my attention on the end game?

It is a very curious suggestion, but perhaps I can undestand what you mean...

thank you
