@dcnils Yes, I have switched from 10 mins to 15/10 for a while now.
Targeting 1400

Hello guys,
I know I've been absent for a while, but life got in the way You know how it is.
I know I wanted to get to 1400 by the end of 2019. I couldn't make that happen. However I kept on playing after ~1-2 months pause. Tonight I got my win that took me over 1400! Wohoo!
I want to express my gratitude and thank all who joined my topics and helped with suggestions! Thank you!
Here's the game (#18, white, win):

Well played. It will help your game to add the concept of sacrificial kingside attacking. See notes, especially Move 17.

maybe slow your game down a bit play some daily tournaments with players at the level you wanna reach. Try to only play player that are rated higher than you but not to much higher You wanna be able to beat them to keep up your confidence. A good ratio against stronger player is probably 1W to 3L. You wanna work on tactics play some chess 960. Get you 30 or 40 daily games going. Stick to one opening and learn it.
Personally i just found this site in december and just broke 1400 after not playing seriously for many years i'm hoping to land somewhere around 1600 in the coming year. After years of playing 5min chess i like having a lot of daily games. I get the action i desire and can stop and think when necessary. https://www.chess.com/tournaments/all?type=upcoming&sort=start_date

Why not just play poker and actually make money? How can a 33 year old man justify spending most of his time on a children's board game? Absolutely bizarre...
1. Have you considered that not everything is about money?
2. Since when has chess become a kids game? The most bizarre thing here is your post.

mtashev56: Quite impressive learning curve, you gained 400 rating points in 1.5 year!! My improvement pace is three times slower compare to yours...

It's extremely entertaining to troll chess nerds. That's why. All the cool kids are doin' it!
Totally. @mtashev56, if you don't want Coffeeand420 to post on your forums, block him. Then he won't be able to post here.
If not, then deal with it
As someone wrote, play 30min if you want to improve. There is not enough time in 10m.
