Everyone makes obvious mistakes, and plays like a patzer sometimes:
Here is an example from a recent otb tournement I was in. Slow time controls (90 min 1 min bonus). My opponent made several oversights, and I hung a piece, which also lost me a second.

Incredible, both of you made blunders as 900> players.
Sometimes the brain fries for a while and the blunder is the result.

I am not joking. The first game is indeed one of the best chess games ever played in all history.
