I played BLACK (the modern scandinavian gambit) which, while not exactly the most sound defense, it is hard to refute.  Game and engine analysis is below.  I won, but my opponent under time pressure made a blunder at the end.

Cheers fellow chess fans.  Best of luck in all your games.

I think it is interesting how you get different results running the analysis on different computers.

Here is a puzzle....can ANYONE figure out why 27....Qc6 was a BLUNDER???? I figured it out. It is one of the most beautiful blunders I have seen.

The idea is pretty obvious given that we know there is a tactic.  There just aren't any other possibilities to look at.  I did, however, take a while to figure out why qa5 prevents the tactic.

Sadly for my opponent, he played the wrong move order....he played h4 first and lost, under intense time pressure.  But the win is spiritually HIS.  (F4 must be played first of course to prevent the nasty mate threat after e.p.)

The Qa5 variation ArtNJ is talking about is really interesting and took me some time to work it out too.

i think white was winning until he/she forgot about en passant and played h4

You'll be closer to his wavelength if you change your username to LucyintheSkyewithDiamonds.

John Lennon actually said that he named that song after a drawing his daughter made, believe it or not......of course he could be lying.
