What's the meaning of this Game of the Day?

I looked at today's Game of the Day because it had an intriguing description: a new kind of Sicilian. I'm not sure what at all they mean by that, unless they were being sarcastic? It looks like a bad kind of Sicilian. While the game was interesting, it looked like a mouse-slip ending for black.
Or am I missing something here? These are obviously good players, going by their ranking.
