Rc1+ is the best move that leads to forced mate, so I don't know how is that a blunder in your book.

Thanks everyone. There are so many variables and fluxuations in power and balance, it is really difficult for me to see the "whole board" ... most of the questions that ask me "why didn't you...?" can be answered with "because I'm not that good yet... but I will be.".
