=) thanks.

I'm not quite sure how 27...Rxg3+ was a terrible blunder. Mind elaborating?

I think that's the Nimzowitsch part. His annotations were kind of silly at times, and he was a big fan of the 7th rank invasion.

Oh, good game by the way. Your opponent played the opening in a very strange manner...

shuttlechess92

check2008 -  read the whole annotation xD

my opponent played a sort of reverse dutch - but I did not play d5 and thus was able to play a competent system against it.

gxtmf1

hehe... he played a la Saemisch, if you were Nimzo. You can post this in the group forums, if you'd like

Nytik

I don't want to be annoying (actually I do) and this could hideously backfire, but I don't believe your knight can have an outpost unless it is backed up by an open file... My excuse if I'm being an idiot is that it is late in the UK. Smile

A good game, with some very interesting and important ideas in it...

Thanks for posting it! However, I find that more " a la Nimzo " would have been to simply play 27. ... Rg2+ 28. Kh1 (forced) and then 28. ... Qxf1#  , more thematic perhaps...

Eitherway, nicely done!

shuttlechess92

thanks for teh comments!

@Nytik: that is the ideal outpost.  Temporary outposts are nice too  :)

You might want to check my game, entitled "A Sicilian Gone Nimzowitsch", I've noticed many of Nimzowitsch's principals in it.

peldan

that's not an outpost >.>
