Draw by Threefold Repetition???

This bullet game (2|1) was declared a draw by Chess.com immediately after my opponent played 32. Kg2.  I'm confused ... I think this is only the 2nd repetition.  After my opponent played 28. Rd1 I start a series of checks, repeating the position twice.  My first check is 28. .. Qg5+, then 29. Kh1 Qh4+ 30. Kg2 Qg4+ 31. Kh1 Qh4+ (repeating the position in 29) 32. Kg2 and Chess.com declares a draw by repetition?

I repeated Qh4+ because I was a little low on time and debating Re5 and Ne4 with myself.  Can someone clarify for me how this is a 3-fold repetition?  Thanks.

u r correct.  that is not a 3 fold repetition.    Perhaps what happened is your opponent pressed the button to Offer a Draw and u inadvertently accepted.    That's the only way I see this as ending in a Draw

Yes, my mistake, I was thinking that I was not "on move" during the first occurrence of the position on move 28, so my move 31 was only the 2nd occurrence of the position ... but, in fact, I was ... need to be more careful!

3-fold repetition is the weirdest expression in chess - because it is intentionally wrong. 2-Fold repetition would be correct but would be misunderstood by most chessplayers as 1-fold repetition. So we are stuck with it.

The "repetition" refers to position, not to moves. So three-fold is correct.
