o well I guess I could have mated the king anyway, or at least got it at a very vulnerable spot after the pawn move h7-h6 by continuing with Qg8, Kg6, Bf7... Have to also add that it was quite late while I was playing this game and for example letting the move 8Qxf2+ was kind of a blunder and not on purpose, luckily it turned out well.
