My "Immortal" (Featuring a Knight and Queen sacrifice!)

I'm really starting to love 1.d4 for that very reason. Somehow, traps seem to "make themselves appear" much more quickly. I also find that creating batteries with the queen and rook is a lot easier as you've done here (and quite deadly to people who can't handle them properly). 1.e4 is tried and true, but for a beginner like myself, I find that playing 1.e4 requires a lot of theoretical knowledge whereas 1.d4 allows for more intuition and creativity. Try playing it more often and see if you get more success from it!
The more I look at this game, it becomes quite apparent where black went wrong. 10...Ngf6 isn't exactly a mistake as it develops the knight, but notice how he starts to block in his own queen to the queenside after you've already castled to the kingside. I'm not using any chess software here so I'm probably wrong, but it seems like 10...Qf6 might have been a better option followed by e5 or g5 to get the bishop into play, then maybe even putting the knight on the rim momentarily to allow for a kingside castle, forcing white to reevaluate its queenside attack. It was great that you were able to exploit black's lack of development so early.
Excellent job!

Me too! But i find that d4 openings without 1...nf6 or without 1.d4 d5 2.c4 or 1.d4 e5!? are pretty darn dull.

It's absurdly cheeky for a 1400 chess.com player to call a game "his immortal" but you know, I think you can get away it this time. What an extraordinary game you just pulled off! Your opponent played weakly with an "I'll develop when I feel like it -- and right now I don't feel like it" sort of approach. But although your opponent played poorly you took advantage of his errors very convincingly! You capitalized on your development advantage (a full three tempi, I think) with a gutsy but justified speculative N sac to open up attacking lines against his King trapped in the center, and then just finished him off in the grand style with an Anderssen-esque rook and minor pieces mating combination initiated with a Queen sac! Superb.
You hadn't seen 3...Qd5 before because it's bad.

XD Thanks!

Good game, only if you played yourself. I realy don't think that 1400 player can pull by himself this combination. If you did, than you are the greatest talent here...
I have to agree with king_warrior to a great extent...
Honestly, if this is all you - wow, amazing, and I bow to your expertise and frankly - genius! The first thought that came to my mind after seeing the mating sequence was: 'VERY professionally done!' . It reminded me of some Morphy mating patterns and other flamboyant and ingenius attacking players style.
So if there's so much talent in you - then why are you 1400?????!
It doesn't seem to make sense... But anyways, if this is legit, then thousands of congrats from me to you on a spectacular finish.
Wether human or not, no one can deny the beauty of this game's finish....

Yes, i did play it myself. And i doubt im the greatest talent here...

Hmmm, where have I seen this game before?
Oh, right (yawn) it's a duplicate post.
Dont tell them that!
