what an awesome game other's have posted games were they did a queen sacrifice but it wasn't all that interesting since it was part of a matting combination or a error by not making a move the opponent didn't see even in the great Byrne vs. Fischer game byrne could have made a move after the queen sacrifice but he missed it. This is the first time I've seen a real no mistake by the opponent queen sacrifice bravo to you.
Sicilian Sveshnikov variation: Queen Sacrifice
I did this game has even inspired me to try out the Sveshnikov variation I usually play the paulson with 2..e6 although some games I'm forced to play the Sveshnikov if white choses his move order right so why not just completely switch again nice game.
Why would you want to 'switch'? Having two or more different opening weapons at your disposal gives you different types of games, different types of positions, leading to playing different plans, and thus probably more positional understanding.
I have only recently started to play this variation, so it's all still pretty new for me too.
Why don't we play some unrated games with annotation to see what kind of ideas we may present eachother with?
13. Bc4 instead of Qxf5 would have been winning for White.
13.Bc4 has been played about 50 times OTB, and white is scoring less than 40% after 13...Qf6. Please mention your next winning move.
"White can't play 27.Qxe4"
Actually that looks like a reasonable way to go for a draw... I think? At least much safer than 27.Kb1 I think. Of course to see this white had to first realize the sac was good.
So, now "it looks good", not winning anymore?
Anyway, 14...Qd8 isn't such a bright move, you have to find something for white after 14...Qg6 15.Nc7+ Kd7 16.Qxg6 fg6 (most probably better than taking with the h pawn) 17.Nxa8 Bxa8, which looks like a very difficult task- any sane man would take Black here.
Hi! :-)
Let me share another queen sacrifice with you :-)
Hope you like it ;-)
Love,
