The shortest game in history - Guiness record

My record is 5moves in a real game; although this is no medal of merit lmao... low elo matchmaking at it's finest

no it's this one
Yeah but a few years ago someone decided that this forum we'll find quickest grandmaster games so if some GM lost that way lol.
why did white resign??
because he has to either lose his queen or play xe3, Qh4, g3, Qxg3#

Don't you think that answering 15 years later is a bit too slow?

Nah. Perfectly fine for chess.com. He's playing a new form of daily chess

This is a rough translation from a norwegian Guinness book of Records, from 1968:
The shortest game ever registered between two grand masters, was in four moves. Lazard defeated Gibaud in a chess cafè in Paris in 1924.
I’ve played this game twice on this site (inspired by looking at Gibaud—Lazard in Chernev, 1000 Best Short Games of Chess)
For now, I'm reading the article about "how to play chess" and in this article said the Magnus Carlsen. Is that mean the he is greatest of the all time or he is the best in the current period?

Well, follow-up to this thread post of 16 years ago, with some verdant responses given already so I'm mentioning 16 years just to highlight, and I've also went over to the list of shortest game in the world, and they have listed those games also where the opponent didn't come and resulted bye, so I'm not counting this. But ,And the original shortest game in history was of Anand where he resigned under 10 moves. Thanks
