What did computer analysis think of the game? It would have given you a few "?"
billwall you have a really high blitz rating, and I am suprised that a player with your rating would play like that (not saying that its bad) just saying that i would expect a book opening from someone with your rating

I am almost the last guy to play book openings unless I know someone who plays a theoretical opening that I would go into if prepared. I've written several books on unusual openings and always play for traps and fun chess in blitz and faster time controls. I try to make my own book after 40 years of play and get out of book to rely on experience and tricky play. And it it doesn't work, I am usually ahead on time and just try to prevent mate in the time left. I don't think there is an unusual opening that I haven't tried and gotten away with.
The game was amusing. I was able to get all my pawns to the 4th rank and later trapped my opponent's queen.
