I mean I'm 129, so....

Wow. My lowest was 230ish.

Never thought I'd break 1000, but here I am!

ZappyT

Dude with 100 rating for daily here. main reason it happened to me is because I set up a bunch of daily games ( for the first time on this account ) then had no internet for 2 days.

CookieGuy6

I am literally rated 111. This is real depressing

Stop hanging pieces?

Most of the time 100 rated players are sandbagging. It's almost impossible to be that bad. I was absolutely awful at chess when I started and the lowest I got was 800. "

I was 590ish I think then I dropped to 300 because I was forced to leave the website bc parents. at first it was ok then I lose a match then I lose more and more and more and now I'm fighting with dog water player and have to use the Englund gambit to regain my Elo back. sad.png

MrBlunder_11

I started at around 170 elo, but my account where that happened seemed a bit wrong, in the sense of weird winning and losing streaks, and I created a new account. Now I am rated 501 rapid.

Late but I (try) to play and on certain modes im at 100. Yes im that bad.

ForestOfOctober

well uhm, im 590 ish now but i used to be 100 in both rapid and blitz and I genuinely tried
yes, we exist

and yes, i climbed my way up from there. my real top strenght is somewhere around 1000, but even made 1200-1300 strenght plays, but i blunder like an absolute idiot still on half my games which holds me back

ForestOfOctober

i used to be 100 rated in chess. both rapid and blitz, for a whole year. i was mad because i didnt learn anything, i was actually trying and i didnt get it. however, i finally statted learning stuff, and i got this account up to 590 ish through just winning games. i've even beaten 1300's one or two times on other accounts. i still make horrible blunders that keep my rating low. on lichess im 1125 rn so i should be aroudn 800-900 here too if i just got consistent.

Ilampozhil25

i find it genuinely hard to believe that you were trying and were 100 level

theres a chess youtube channel who does weird challenges with a 100 rated account and the opponents... they play moves which are just unexplainable

i would say (estimate)that 30% sandbag (tho why that much idk) 50% play bad on purpose/ put almost zero effort and 20% might be actual players

mind you, 20% is generous

Ilampozhil25

wait

i just remembered my old level at chess

i was literally losing every game and i think!? i was trying!?

yeah i was 100 level a few(5 ish) years back, or atleast close to it

Notamasterasher

When I started off I got to 180 and I know someone who is literally 100 at bullet, he just doesn't play that much

Don't resign. At your level, there's still a chance your opponent will make a massive blunder and let you back into the game or at least accidentally stalemate you instead of checkmate. You can also learn from how your opponent beats you. When you reach higher levels, you can start resigning when in a completely lost position, but for now, don't resign.

And - study your losses. See where you went wrong. Learn from your mistakes. Try to spot your mistakes on your own, and then double-check with the engine to see what you missed.

And do a lot of tactics puzzles. That will teach you to recognise common tactical patterns that will show up in your games.

@MGleason is right. You can win even if you lose a queen and a rook.

StarSavior

Slowly getting and losing elo. Still under 200. Almost every single match I play ends in draw because I don't know how to play late game.
